Fruit!
I am taking an online Computer Art class this quarter at SCAD to round out my digital art skills a bit and the first program we are using is Adobe Illustrator. The first assignment was to draw some fruit using the gradient tool and the gradient mesh tool. Here are my results. The bananas were down with the gradient tool and various other tools, and the apple was done using the gradient mesh(my first time using it).

Parka Blogs!
The awesome Parka Blogs has featured my art in a post! My self portrait was included in their "50 Amazing Vector Portraits" feature. Check it out here.
Parka Blogs reviews artbooks of all kinds, and usually showcases some really fantastic artwork. If you don't follow them, I highly recommend that you start. Its a great resource for inspiration and they frequently do giveaways of art books.

Star Wars Dark Side T-shirt Contest
This was going to be my submission to We Love Fine's Star Wars Dark Side T-shirt Contest, but their site crashed while I was in the middle of submitting it. I worked really hard on this picture and would be really disappointed if I wasn't able to submit it.

Here's a vector acorn I created for a current project. It will be incorporated into a much larger design.

New Paint Tool SAI sketch - Man Wearing a Doublet
I'm still trying to learn the ins and outs of this program and also be more prolific. I'm forcing myself to call a practice picture done, and move on.

January 30th Sketch
I've been playing with Paint Tool SAI lately, and so far I am loving it. Its a versatile little program that doesn't hog as much memory as PS. Granted, it can't do nearly as much as PS can, but its also not photo software. Its designed to mimic painting. There is a ton to learn about it, but unfortunately there's not a ton of information out there in English about this program. Here's a monochromatic sketch I did with it. I spent a couple hours each night on it for the last couple of nights. I can't wait to dig down deep into this program and see what I can do with it.
